Comedian, writer, actor and speaker Dan Kulp gave the keynote presentation in June for this year’s Bella Banquet. His stories about growing up with siblings with special needs and his own choice to later adopt children with special needs inspired the capacity crowd at La Sure’s.
In addition, those who attended heard updates from Beth Nemecek (Bella’s Executive Director), Sue Krause (Bella’s Support Services Director), and Ann Tretinyak (sister site Vida’s Executive Director). Statistics of numbers of women helped, families served, and programs offered were backed up with stories of the effectiveness of this ministry and a reminder of much more work yet to be done. One exciting announcement was that in January of 2026, Bella will unify with
Vida Medical Clinic in Appleton to expand services to women and men in the Oshkosh area. Bella and Vida’s new mission alliance will allow us to increase the number of services being offered, including regular access to well woman care, free sport’s physicals, and STI testing, for both women and men. Together Bella and Vida will continue to dream big, growing our life affirming ministry.
More than $150,000 was raised at this event. We thank all that support, donate, and sponsor Bella Parent Support help local families throughout the year.
